Rainy Day Jars

Learning Goals: Scientific Process, Inquiry, Math Learning, Estimation, Observation

    • Provide students with jars on a rainy day and make predictions about how much rain will be collected in the jar.
    • After collecting rain, students will observe the actual amount of rain collected.
    • Document and compare the difference between their actual and predicted findings and discuss how their predictions compared and why.
