Patterning With Pattern Blocks
Learning Goals: Spatial Sense, Math, Patterning, Geometry
- Provide students with a bin of shape blocks of different sizes and encourage them to build patterns.
- Extend by asking students to label their patterning rule (ex. AB, ABB, ABC, ABCC, ABCD).
- Encourage students to trace around their shape patterns and have a peer try to fill in the shapes and label the pattern.
